A Celebration and Cookie Baking

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday yesterday.  It was a very nice day.  : )

This is what was served!  All-you-can-eat crab legs.  With garlic mashed potatoes and Caesar salad.

And we found these personal cake slices at the grocery store and thought it would be fun for each of us to have a personal slice of cake since we each like something different.  My husband is the German chocolate guy, I'm the lemon lover, and our son is totally buttercream.  Who needs a restaurant?  : )

When I had a little time from party plans, I got to my gift wrapping.  It's all done now.  : )

A side table with the sweets.

Oranges and cinnamon simmering on the back of the stove helps to put a holiday fragrance in the air.

And, lastly, sugar cookie cutouts was my job this morning.  They are cut out, baked, and in the freezer.  Ready to be frosted and decorated when needed.  : )

And that's what's been going on the past couple of days!  Thank you for dropping by - I hope all of you are doing well.  God bless.
